- Azuga este la piciorul muntilor Bucegi (Carpati - Transylavanian Alps), altitudinea 1.110 m.

Sunt 38 km pana la Poiana-Brasov si 147 km pana la Bucuresti.
Pozitia si accesibilitatea sunt avantaje pentru Azuga, localitatea fiind situata pe cea mai circulata vale transcarpatica a Romaniei, Valea Prahovei, respectiv pe DN1/E60 si magistrala feroviara dubla electrificata Bucuresti-Brasov, la circa 135 km de aeroportul Otopeni si 36 km de Brasov. Fata de localitatile invecinate distantele sunt reduse: Predeal 6 km, Busteni 4 km, Sinaia 12 km.

- Azuga esteo asezare tipica de munte, teritoriul sau grefandu-se in nord si vest pe muntii scunzi ai Clabucetului Predealului (alt.max. Clabucet Azuga 1586 m) iar in sud si est pe muntii Baiului sau Gabrovei care in Azuga ating altitudini de peste 1700 m ( Vf. Cazacu 1753 m, Vf. Stevia 1901m).

- In partea de sud-est a orasului Azuga pe pantele nordice ale plaiului Sorica, a fost amenajat si dat in exploatare un perimetru schiabil. In Azuga va puteti bucura de cele doua partiide schi ( partia de schi alpin - coborare - si partia de schi-fond) dotate cu telescaun, teleschi si masini pentru amenajarea partiilor de schi.

- Azuga se poate mandri cu alta partie cu teleferic pe langa partia olimpica de la Sorica. Noua partie se numeste Cazacu si are instalatie pe cablu si masini de intretinere a zapezii.

- De asemenea, in Azuga sunt situate Fabica de bere Azuga si fabrica de sticla.

- Orasul Azuga se afla intr-o continua dezvoltare si se pare ca in sfarsit turismul montan romanesc se dezmorteste.

- Azuga-Busteni sunt recomandate pentru tratament de recuperare (anemie, astenie nervoasa).

Azuga city and resort is situated between Sinaia international resort (12 km) and Predeal ski resort (6km).

On top of the Caraiman Massif, at 2,484 m altitude, there standsa memorial (a 40 m high cross, made of steel), build between 1926 - 1928, in honour of the country"s heroes who lost their lives during the First World War.
Busteni has "Babele" and "Sphynx" - wind - modelled stone shapesin the Bucegi Massif, accesible throw cable-car. A modern chair-liftis in construction to the Diham and Poiana Izvoarelor cottages.
